OMG, wiper prices

Motorcraft Premium at your Ford dealership for around $17 each. Look for sales at NAPA. I recently bought 2 sets for $60.

I always try to use OE blade refills on my Toyota, but what use to $12 for the pair are over $20 now.

I took a chance bought these Valeo Titaniums from Rock for my VW, so far only the Rain X have fit well even the Bosch Icons didn't fit. These fit perfectly and perform flawlessly. I cant speak to the longevity yet as it only been a few months but they are still perfect and survived the NE winter.
For under $7 they are a steal if they last.

yup bought the same brand from rock auto for about the same price and they work just fine.

I should maybe make a post on this, but I've been using generic Chinese silicone inserts from ebay the past year or so. I don't know totally on longevity yet (on my Sentra I scrapped them with them on...) so I don't want to make a wholehearted recommendation, but I pay about $8 for two inserts. Scotty Kilmer always endorsed silicone wiper blades, and when I initially searched for some I found lots of inserts from Thailand, and then later China. The first set I bought I got sort of scammed, in that I got siliconized rubber, which worked great for a year or so, but ended up degrading after the coating went away. The grey colored ones seem to be legit silicone, and seem made of the same material as silicone caulking or RTV.

I recently bought a set of Michelin wipers at Wal-Mart for my Fusion, though, because the wipers on there took 8mm inserts, and the Michelin old style metal ones were 6mm, which I have another set of inserts for, when the rubber ones on them eventually go. There's 8mm inserts on ebay for $15 or so generally, but I couldn't justify keeping the old ones when new whole arms were cheaper and I could use my existing 6mm inserts.

Even when I worked at the auto parts store 5 or 6 years ago prices were nuts. I'm sure they have only gone up since then. Needless to say I don't buy my wiper blades from the auto parts stores.

A few months ago I replaced mine with what I had bought the last time around, which are the Trico Force. The previous set lasted a solid 2.5 yrs and performed far better than any blades I've used in 35 yrs of driving, better than the OEM set as well. Living in NC there's all sorts of weather changes year round and those blades never let me down. Yes I could've ordered online, but I try supporting local when I can and the only place in my area that had those exact blades was O'Reilly's and they are one of the few that carry the tiny wiper for the rear. All 3 cost me just under $70, which isn't cheap, but to get 2.5 yrs of solid use with what I have driven in from freezing rain to 60+ mph wind gusts from tropical storms coming inland I simply can't complain. Have tried many other blade types/brands and nothing matches what these do for my ride/use.

I thought it was just me. The OEM Toyota wipers on my Camry are fantastic and so easy to change. 5 years and 100k miles and I've only changed them once. They are about due again and I priced the wipers online. There is no way I paid that much at the dealership several years ago. I would have remembered that.

I'm stuck on Trico, I have had several sets of the Neoform over the years that work really well and last. Since they don't make the Neoform to fit my Lucerne I went with the Trico Force. One issue is having two different sizes which makes it harder to buy in pairs for better deals but found them at Amazon for a little less than $25 for the pair, about the same as buying one at AAP.

Trico makes the Neoform for your Lucerne now, so you should be good to go the next time you need wipers for it.

Wiper blade for 2008 Buick Lucerne:
Trico NeoForm®

Thank you, I will look into that since I doubt I will ever buy anything but Trico.

For the Ford Focus MC blades off Amazon are $16 ea. Great quality. For the 3x VWs Valeo from FCP Euro about $25 a set plus lifetime replacement so free (have to pay return shipping but use PayPal to purchase so get that refunded plus I double up and bulk all my returns including my oil changes together). For the Lexus Walmart or Costco for RainX or Michelin.

I find that the auto parts stores are outrageous on most things, usually better off ordering of Amazon, Rock Auto, or hitting up your local Wal-Mart, Midwestern Wal-Mart (Meijer), or Mid-Western Lowe's (Menards), or your local equivalents.

My wife went to a local auto parts store to get wipers for her vehicle with no care that she could buy cheaper online.

Why? She asked if they could install and they did for her. She knows how but did not want to. She uses full serve gas too.

My wife before I met her could do plugs, filters, rotor/cap and did timing belt/dad on her 96 Civic when I met her. She has ZERO interest now in touching cars.

For basic replacement parts like wipers. With me it's rockauto amazon Walmart OR you can price match @ Autozone and use your rewards points

Last year I scored Bosch Icon wipers for $5 each from Rock Auto. I stocked up on 22" for my fleet

Getting that way myself

I bought the ac/delco advantage oem blades from Amazon last December for $13.54 for the pair shipped. Perfect so far.
