Printing the number 10.3 implies that the accuracy is one tenth, that is, the true number is between 10.25 and 10.35. Since they don't list the variance, who knows what the variability between samples is. They may test 100 random samples and average the viscosity or they may mix the samples and test the mixture.quote:

Mathematicla convention dictates that a number written to 3 significant figures is acccurate to the last figure unless stated otherwise.
In other words +/- less than 0.1
