Man that`s a sweeeeeeeeeet car!!!!!!!!! Most TT Z`rs run Mobil 1 15W50 or a synth 20W50. That`s what I`d put in that beauty!

Nice Supra!!!! How are you keeping the oil in the engine. It was my experince in the late 1980's through the mide 1990's that the oil would leak out the mains once you past 700HP so usualy 1000+ HP SUpra were normaly trailer qeens for strip use only.

I would go with Redline 20W50 if you are going to be tracking the car for the most part. If on the other hand you are going to be mostly driveing it as a daily driver on the street I would go with a 5W40 or 10W40 from Redline. The 20W50 products are going to be horrable until you get them up to operateing temp. so any around town jaunts you make will be trowing off serious wear metals but for track use after you have it up to operateing temp. would be ideal.Motul has an excellent 5W40 as well and so does Torco.Their is a new player on the seen RLI that has shown some promiseing results in testing in some really nasty fuel dilution situations and they are also willing to custom blend so it would not be an issue to have them add some more ZDDP,Boron and Moly to their standard formula and one guy even has a 15W50 on it way fromthem right now.

In years gone by M1 Redcap 15W50 not to be confused with gold cap 15W50 was a prefered product in modified Supra circles.

Definitely use the Brad Penn Break In Oil, and let us know what you think! Well that is up to you if you want a break in oil designed for new engines... Have you seen Amsoil AMO 10w40 Synthetic Premium Protection Motor Oil?

Just curious how do you know it makes 1000hp? Has it been on a dyno yet? Supras are known to be dyno queens and make gobs of power but they rarely seem to put out 1/4 mile numbers to back up the dyno numbers.

With that said I love your supra. It is a very nice looking car and I am sure you will have tons of fun with it! If it were me I would run 15W40 Rotella T synthetic. You want a good syn to keep those turbos alive.

Well it put down 700whp with only 17psi on pump gas only. We never even tested it with 25-30psi and race gas. That by itself is 800 at the crank. Now with fully built bottom end, 3.4L stroker etc, 30psi and ~900-950whp is definitely doable.

As far as being dyno queens, there are definitely some supras out there that are street driven and are running 8s all day long. It all depends on how you setup the car. Some guys setup massive turbos running strictly as a drag setup, some run small to midsize turbos and are highway monsters.

Here are some videos of different supras running:

Ryans car

Zohairs car running 7s

Titan vs. Boostlogics supras FINALS

That is just insane.

Well the MKIV supra did not come out until 1993 and it is considered as one of the most stout stock bottom ends to ever come out of a production car. There are many supras running around with 800whp with the stock bottom end. How many cars can say that? Above that level, you do need a bottom end. On the stock bottom, above the 700whp, if your oil pressures are too high, then you will leak out of the front main seal.

On my setup, i have a modified ported oil pump to help increase flow. This also helps with the front main seal issue. There are guys with 1400whp and if it is done right, there will be no main seal issue at all
