new used Bronco 2.7, looking for some advice.

Do those euro oils have reduced Ca? Thats what’s stopping me from switching to a euro from my current dexos oils
M1 0W40 yes. Castrol 0W30, depends which one you get on Amazon. Old pink label is high Ca. New brownish is lower.
But, does your engine has LSPI issue? Euros also have higher ZDDP, which has positive effects on mitigating LSPI.

Lspi issue? No, but it is a prime candidate for that. 2.7 gm 4 cyl. Thanks ill check those oils out.

There is a lot of displacement there. The lower displacement, the more issues. I don’t fallow Ford engines, so not sure does it have any LSPI issues.
If it doesn’t have, don’t worry about calcium. Just find oil that has MB229.5 or MB229.51/52 approvals.

The 2.7 Ecoboost is the most reliable Ecoboost and only needs "meets the spec" oil. If you truly want a better oil Mobil 1 EP, PUP, Valvoline EP, Castrol Edge EP...you also have boutique oils if you have the cash. I dont think you need anything fancy for this engine. I would pour in SuperTech and not worry about it.

Doesn’t the 2021 2.7 spec 5w30 for the bronco?
The 2.7 in the bronco does spec 5w30 and afaik all the ford Ecoboost engines spec 5w30 but i'm not 100% certain of that, only 99% certain. 0w30 is also in the manual for low temps, I think below -10f

It does apparently have a problem with fuel dilution though, 2-5% on most horizon UOA. How much of a problem that really is, I suppose, is the question. I don’t know. It will easily turn WSS-M2C961(3)A / ILSAC GF6a / API SP resource conserving 30 grades into 20 grades within a few thousand miles though.

The 2.7 Ecoboost was updated to dual fuel injection. This update reduced fuel dilution. Search these forums for UOAs.
With that being said, most readily available 5W30 synthetic oils will be fine for 5,000 miles.

It still dilutes 2-5% with dual injection on user carbonsteel’s and my horizon UOA’s.

I'm not too worried about mine. I'm currently running Castrol European 5W40. It's a SP rated European. I'm probably going to switch to Valvoline Full Synthetic 5W30. Walmart is getting poor on their oil selections.

Sounds like you’re doing the right thing. As you may know Blackstone labs unfortunately is incredibly unreliable on fuel dilution and based on the viscosity in the UOAs you linked I would speculate that the engine is experiencing ~5% fuel dilution.

As we both know, timing is critical when pulling an oil sample.

I'd run HPL NO VII 10W-30 or Amsoil SS 10W-30.

If not interested in ordering online and looking for
something quick off the shelf i'd go with Mobil 1 Euro 0W-40 or M1 ESP 5W-30

Just went to Advance and they have m1 esp 0w30 for $37 with a free filter, any brand. More expensive than Wally but still a good deal with a filter I think. What I noticed was that the 0w30 has no api certification on it. The esp 0w20 and 0w40 both are API SN but that’s not the case on the 30. Is that normal? I guess I expected an api cert so I wanted to make sure I’m getting the right thing.

The market is not for vehicles which list an API license. It is of little consequence given the approvals it holds. For example it has VW 504 00 approval which is a demanding approval and will be good for your vehicle.

Makes sense 100% I just wanted to be sure I was getting what I actually thought I was getting. not some "fake" or whatever or different sku with a very similar container to what has been talked about extensively on here. I've become weary sometimes of "parts store" things in the same way as products on amazon, you sometimes just don't know exactly what you are getting.
