M1 is our new sponsor. Don't be shocked.

But why does it link to a ad.doubleclick.net url then it directs to the mobiloil site?

so that someone somewhere gets paid money for it.

luckily my OCI is coming up in 8 days so i can dump it out.

commercialism at its best

Apparently the Mobil ad is hosted on ad.doubleclick.net. Probably they perform tracking services via cookies. At least that's what I think may be going on.

OK, I have a doubleclick.net (virus?) that causes me to have a message 'internet explorer cannot find' and advises how diagnos the problem -it's the same message you get when you misstype a web address. On some websites it'll be on the page in 15 different places.

How do I stop that stuff? Please help me with this or I'll have to wash my drives and start from ground zero.

I wish I knew what you guys were talking about. I have a MAC and when I click on the Mobil 1 it take me directly to their website and nothing else shows up.

Nitog is a typo caused by excessive skin crawling affecting fingers. I get a similar reaction from a english eeww.

I'm pretty sure when you click on the mobil 1 banner ad. the owner of BITOG gets paid. There's nothing wrong with that. This site costs money for us free leachers to post.

Put the pointer on the Mobil ad and look at the target URL. The first part of the URL takes you to ad.doubleclick.net, the second part of the URL takes you to the Mobil site.

Johnny,
I don't have a MAC but I go directly to their sit as well. CLICK-CLICK-CLICK.

I'm on a MAC and placing the cursor over the Mobil ad shows a doubleclick.net destination. I'm glad Mobil is a sponsor. We've seen Castrol and Schaeffer's ads. Now I'm waiting on the Pennzoil and Valvoline ads.
