Pressed Pennies

We get these at just about every place that we visit. Here’s a small sample of what we have from the past few years. They’ve been tossed into a cup in the office waiting to be put away. The rest are stored away with all of our old photos.

Nice. I think I'll clean mine up and mount them in a display. If I find them all. "Junior, where are the pressed pennies?"

Here are a few more. Not the best image quality. It was getting dark and the light was terrible.

EDIT: I shot them again., Still terrible but a bit better. The Hoover Dam one is just a memorial coin.

Some more from just SF

I also found some casino tokens, including a $10 one. That; 's the first one, top left.

When I was making the penny a guy told me the stamper had a defect and it would be worth a lot some day.

Just out of curiosity, I looked into what one of those penny smashers would run a guy if he wanted to get one to install.Holy crap, three to five thousand. I get it that your raw material is free, but at 50 cents a clip or whatever they get now a day's, that cranks gotta turn a lot of RPMs to make some green. Bet Lucas oil counter crank things don't set them back that much.
