Even for it being a Corolla, the materials and workmanship are of better quality then a late model 2.4L Camry I recently rode in.
The NUMMI cars weren't too bad. They kept a tight leash on the 'Merican workers back then and most of the parts were genuine Japanese. Things have slipped a bunch since then.
A bunch of Bubbas are slapping together Toyotas like Chevys now with American sourced parts from the lowest bidder under Toyota's brilliant new "cost cutting initiative".
