New Pentastar oil/filter recommendation

Been using Amsoil with a Mopar filter.

I am waiting for my Pennzoil provided free analysis to do a comparison but this is Pennzoil ultra platinum 0w20. I should be ready to change oil by the time I get it with somewhere around 30,000 miles on the engine and 5000 miles on the interval.

I would run 5k out the gate if using xw30, depending on how many miles you have on it...

Just picked up some quaker state regular full syn 5w30 for the first quickie change. Should be happening right at 500 miles id predict, so 50 more miles. No filter change.

I guess I'm surprised you're going to change the oil at 500 miles and not the filter. FWIW, I would wait for about 2500 miles and do both.

My plan is to do both at 1500, 3000, and 5000. Will do 5000 increments after that. Will run the quaker state until 5000, at which point will go to Mobil 1 ESP. I think that’s what Lake recommends…

Free with the Advance Auto oil bundle. ESP 0W-30 and this filter for $37.99. This will be going on my 2021 Jeep Wrangler 3.6. Nylon mesh backing, 100% synthetic media, 20k rated, 99.5%@25 microns. Excellent construction.

Update: put 5qt of the quaker 5-30 in. Manual says 5 qt. The other pentastars ive had took 5.9qt. Im guessing manual wrong. Didnt change filter either. It is barely touching the stick. Glad i changed it out. Was alreading getting darker lol. Plus its a 2025 and sat on the lot a while

the new pentastar PUG takes 5 qts. the filter holds about 2 ounces that is it. you need to warm it up good and then let the oil settle before checking.
