New M1 Oil Filters

Yes, I am aware. I only use OEM filters. Try to catch them on bulk sale online. As for the oil, it's whatever synthetic bulk sale also. I'm not throwin dino oil into them. Usually name brand stuff, Pennzoil, Mobil 1, Quaker State, Valvoline, etc. That's just me. Sorry, we also don't do much distance driving anyway. Work is 10-12 mi away one way, then just you're supermarkets, doctor appt's, pharmacies. Nothing long daily distance stuff.

After my Mobil (M&H) filter experience, I’ll pass for anything with the name Mobil or M&H…

I know that on the M1 cases of 6 filters, they are labeled as made in Vietnam, but how do you tell if the filter is made in Vietnam just from the individual box and filter case itself?

The efficiency rating on the box says 99% @ 30 microns or less. Does anyone have better numbers?

If Mobil did their testing, which I am pretty sure they did, it should be a good filter. They selected a black base gasket, which is probably not silicone. Maybe to not change too much for no reason, when the black ones were not a problem.
Another reason for them to switch is price. MH may not be able to make filters for this price and Mobil gets the desired profit margin. Then there is a distributor taking a cut. Asian companies will try to comply more to get the business.

Highline Warren says 99%@20 by phone. Waiting for boxes to update. Still the old M+H numbers currently.
I'm going to call Highline Warren tomorrow and see what they say about that - I'll ask if the boxes are old info or not. As you know, when I called Highline Warren a while back the guy put me on hold, went to get more info and came back and said the new Mobil 1 was 99% @ 20u. Need to see it that's the same answer now.
