In the "Tires and Wheels" forum, I made a thread about my new snow tires. Well, I also bought new snow tires for the wifey: a new '11 GC Laredo X. We traded our '09 Aspen 2wd Hemi for the Jeep. This is our first Jeep (I need to learn all the Jeep lingo now). Our main reason for the trade was having 2wd. With all the torque (401 ft-lbs), the Aspen was almost scary in wet weather. A slight press of the throttle would spin the rear tires -- at highway speeds. The Jeep is White Gold, black leather, Pentastar, sunroof, 430n Media center w/Garmin Navi/, tow package, etc. It's loaded quite well. A local dealer had them for $5500 off, and we got a good rate/trade. I have some pics (taken while cloudy), that I'll post soon (haven't uploaded to Photobucket yet).
This is my first vehicle within the last 8+ years -- which requires 5w30. It appears to have a cartridge filter right on top -- which will be real easy to get it. First dealer OCI is free --- so I will take advantage of that. I'll change every 6 months, or by OLM. We won't ever drive over 8K miles in 6 months.
Current average MPG shows 16 -- after 3-4 days of city driving. Aspen got about 13 during the winter (sometimes 12). It's a very nice ride. I've really like this generation since they've been out. It would have been nice to wait for the 8 spd, but I couldn't wait that long.
