Those 22 rd. mags should loosen up a bit and reduce your FTFs significantly. Heard the same complaints from other users, especially when the magazines first hit the market.I ended up getting a variety of ammo. Everything ran well for the most part.
I did have a significant number of FTF from the 22 round mags but less (probably a third) with the 16 round mags. I shot around 150-200 rounds and it got better with use.
You have discovered the joy of shooting with a .22. Fun and cheap. Still fosters development of fundamentals without high cost. I have the TX22, a Ruger 10/22, and my really fun tack driver, a S&W MP15-22 with Holosun and a Timney single stage 3lb.
