New Darling on BITOG?

Castrol is 8x better than M1, being 2x better than Valvoline. Yeah, just spouting more bull [censored] into this Valvoline love fest..

Different oils will perform better/worse in different engines. There is no one 'KING OIL' if you ask me.

Valvoline synpowder only scored close to Amsoil in the wear test.
All the other test Valvoline scored in the middle of the range compared to other Dino oils, and in the cost per mile was the most expensive to use! CHANGE! CHANGE! CHANGE!

I hear bleach also performs well in the 4-ball wear test. :)

And shampoo :)

My engine prefers Pert Plus over Head and Shoulders.

Flex Balsam and Protein and Thermasilk rule the shampoo world!

I have to very disagree with the cost per mile, because you can easily run 7.5k on any of the synthetic, that brings Synpower and PP down to $108.16

Then you have to consider that the usual sales price of $4 for PP and Synpower, instead of the $6.5, that brings Synpower and PP down to $66.56

Now you factor in that someone could push PP to 10k if they are going to push Amsoil to 25k (both are stretching thin on the safety margin), you can get PP down to $49.92

If you do not, but factor in the sales price of $1.99, $1.5, or even free if you found double rebates in the past (I know, they don't always show up again), then the price would drop to $33.28 assuming 7.5k OCI and a $2 price after rebate.

See how ridiculous this gets?

Plus I seriously doubt Amsoil will give this same wear rate on average for a 25k OCI, compare to the wear rate of any of the mentioned oil sticking to a 5k OCI.

back in the day one could get syn for $1 to $2 after rebate if not free after rebate.
my syn OCs cost me $14 average. while dino $5 average,
though I like amsoil it will not see my hard earned mulas till price comes down to what can justify buying it
