I have to very disagree with the cost per mile, because you can easily run 7.5k on any of the synthetic, that brings Synpower and PP down to $108.16
Then you have to consider that the usual sales price of $4 for PP and Synpower, instead of the $6.5, that brings Synpower and PP down to $66.56
Now you factor in that someone could push PP to 10k if they are going to push Amsoil to 25k (both are stretching thin on the safety margin), you can get PP down to $49.92
If you do not, but factor in the sales price of $1.99, $1.5, or even free if you found double rebates in the past (I know, they don't always show up again), then the price would drop to $33.28 assuming 7.5k OCI and a $2 price after rebate.
See how ridiculous this gets?
Plus I seriously doubt Amsoil will give this same wear rate on average for a 25k OCI, compare to the wear rate of any of the mentioned oil sticking to a 5k OCI.
