New Amsoil MC Oils in April

Well it looks like the codes are MCF for 10-40 and MCV for 20-50. They also seem to be formulated for Japanese/ European bike.

Anyone have any other info ? Who's willing to buy some and post a UOA ?

I've been using the AFF/0w-40 4stroke oil in my atv's for the last few years with good results as far as I can tell. Is there something new out that I should consider?

Lightman,

The new Amsoil 10w-40 MC oil will give you greatly improved gear protection and off season corrosion protection. Info on these oils is on the Amsoil website under "What's New". Just for comparison, the 10w-40 is about 12% thicker than Delvac 1 in terms of HT/HS viscosity even though it's only 14.0 Cst @ 100C.

Amsoil has traded off some low temp "viscometrics" in order to maximize the high temp properties for these oils. Similar to how Redline formulates in that respect ...

The 0w-40 would still be my choice if you use your ATV in the winter for hunting, herding cattle, etc....

regards,

Ted
