Yeah unfortunately if you live up in the north east this is somewhat a common thing for vehicles over ten years old. Not unusual to have to replace subframes or find welded plates on frames. I undercoat all my vehicles with either fluid film or NH oil undercoating once, sometimes twice a year. It does help (some). I envy all the folks living down south that don’t have to work on this stuff. The guy in that video is great dealing with rust. He knows exactly what to do, and unfortunately I’m sure he is not able to charge extra labor for the time needed to remove some of those fasteners that he deals with every single day.Personally with that amount of rust, I would have scrapped it.
I found this video on Youtube and if the rust is this bad it seems concerning.
This guy is an amazing mechanic. I know if I drove this rusted Prius into a mechanic near me they.wouldnt do this kind of job to it.
I think you may be in luck, from the looks of that photo of the strut, the bottom strut mount that contains the spring broke. You may only need to replace the entire strut. From another angle, you can see she's completely bottomed out on the left rear.

Picture of other side plsDoes the bolt just stick out from the frame or do I need to hit both sides?
I’m assuming you’re talking about where the bottom of the strut is attached? That is a nut on a welded stud to that dead axle frame. Just remove the nut.Does the bolt just stick out from the frame or do I need to hit both sides?
I confirmed it's welded to dead axle frame as doublebase said.Picture of other side pls
Do a 'just rolled in', spray foam the hole and it's good again.Still in the shop, but did find this at the front passenger side underbody which I think may be the end of the story.
