^^Best advice right there. Get a jug of name brand dino 10W30 and a Motorcraft filter.

Just use something like QS Defy 10W-30.

If the engine is in poor condition you might increase the oil consumption changing to a thinner oil, particularly if it has any leaks.
I would just change to a major brand 10/40 HM oil and keep the first OCI short if the engine is not in good condition or has a dubious service record, if it's good then just use a normal 5/30.
