My Walmart has dropped the Endurance for a new 20k Purolator

Nope the re-formulated Ultras are now blends and once were 100% synthetic. :-(
I knew Fram made that change to the XG line, but the XG9972 seemed to retain the original wire backed media. I bought one a couple months ago at Walmart. I have not seen the new blend version yet, though I don’t doubt the change.

The SuperTech ST9972 seems to be an option now. Synthetic media, although not sure of the efficiency.

In the description as synthetic blend

Very sad that I have use my old new stock.

It should come as no surprise they chose the gold color to "match" the Fram Ultra's along w/its 20k mileage rating. ;)

This is important & should keep costs down. I'm sure theirs some foreigners in the mix though.

Not by the specs. Perhaps the price?
What specs are you seeing for the efficiency that leads you to believe it won’t be better than the Boss?
