Another high-quality diesel to add to my stable. At 157k, it is more or less like new, great strong engine, zero oil consumption from a cross-country drive, and pulled over 28 MPG going cross country doing over 75 over well over a thousand miles, and 70+ all the way.
Transmission shifts firm and perfect. Everything works great, was a socal garage kept car, the paint is nice, but the exterior rubber in some spots needs some help - Ill just replace.
Ran it home on B2, B5 and B11 whenever possible (probably half of my fillups or better). Clean running, not sooty, and good power. Turbo lag low - good wastegate spring. Will likely become my longish distance commuter car, and take miles off of my 04 saab, which remains like new with only 48k.
Didnt take any ral good pictures, but here are some from our trip on Rte 66. It is a true pilliarless coupe, the rear 1/4 windows go down. Lets you drive pretty fast with windows down and remain quiet from wind noise. Combine that and the sunroof, and you get a fairly open feel... Important because my second choice was a 2010 BMW 135i convertible.
