hi guy, heres my first uoa on my modded turbo csrt-4 running sso 0-30 which really a little thin compare to the factory and recommended m1 0-40.
now im running afl 5-40 and have some redline 0-40 for the next oil change.
some of the mods are water/meth injection, map clamp,s1, etc...so the car is ran hard at times.
what are your guy's opinions on this uoa? thanks for translating for an oil guy in training.

It would be nice if you formatted your thread title in accordance with the rules that are clearly spelled out in the sticky at the top of the UOA forum.

Cheers,

Jeff

It's a suggestion, not really a 'rule'. He's new here, and it's nice of him to post a UOA on an interesting car. Give him a bit of a break, bud!

Anyway, doesn't look too bad. I agree that I would run a 40-weight in this application, it might reduce iron a bit.

As per the lab, what oil was run before this?

This motor has low miles and the analysis looks very good. The only thing I'd like to see lower, if it were me, would be iron.

Run another 5k run of the same oil to trend.

I have no problem with you going heavier with the next (current) fill. I just don't see the Fe (which I agree appears to be the only apparent "complainable" aspect here) being reduced a whole lot with the upgrade. It may allow longer use due to visc loss and other side effects of your mods.

thanks for the replies, is is one of the best forums....alot of people that want to help.
for some reason i cant edit (again) the title to fix it, i should of read the sticky...sorry
thanks

m1 0-40 factory fill, then sso 0-30 which the amsoil tech recommended, and now afl 5-40.
