I did a search online to find out who makes MC oil.All I could find was replies from people saying they think "CONOCO-PHILLIPS" makes it.Is this true? Does anyone know the dino-synthetic oil ratio that is used in their Synthetic blend?

I use the MC 5W20 from Walmart.A 5 qt jug is $18.75 and the qts. are $4.57,I think.I remember it was $2.17 a qt. a few years ago.

We dont think, we know its COP that makes Motorcraft oil. The synthetic % is 30-60%, no one know for sure what the actual % is. Some say according to the msds it is 60% but that CAS number can be for II+ and group III oil, so its hard to actually tell what the % of syn is.

Kendall, Motorcraft, TropArtic are all 3 COP Oils that all 3 have a great reputation.

MC is easiest to find around here, its really close to TropArtic formula.

I'd use Motorcraft or TropArtic with confidence, Kendall, not so much, personal reasons aside, all 3 have good reps.

The synthetic % is a good bunch.
I've hear 40% ish.
If it was 20 or 80, I would not care.
I care about the massive price increases for probably the best dino out there.
OK, ONE of the best.

I see it in some speed shops, but the containers are usually so dusty, it makes me wonder how many people use it.

Past reasons, mostly a botched job by my mothers mechanic that made me start doing my own oil changes,
the stuff burned wicked bad in my engine, IDK why.
it was Bulk 10w30 Kendall Dino.

Ive run synthetics and dinos in my truck since, ranging from 0w20-10w30 and everything in between, High Mileage oils, HDEOs, and nothing has burned from them,

It was paired with a NAPA gold, and a NAPA A/F at the time as this shop is a NAPA Autocare Center.

My truck likens Kendall to Pepsi I guess, idk.
liked it enough to consume 1 qt every 500 miles though.
since then I have had no burning, though I learned my valve seal gasket is going now, so yeah

Off the record, after 1000 miles I changed it, and had to hammer a smaller socket on the stripped drain pan bolt to get it off
and I had to pop the oil filter with a screwdriver.

Man, I love Kendall! Can't find TropArtic out here and MC is not my preference, but I still consider it a good oil. But I love Kendall...when I can find it anymore.
