I hear ya Third! When I did my rear differential change,guess where I headed when I was done? Down the good ole Walmart kitty litter aisle! They even had fresh-scented on sale! I was tempted to buy the multi-cat formula because,well.........gear oil is some smellyyyyyyyyy stuff!!!!!!!!

Can't possibly smell any worse than old, used power steering fluid! Blech! I almost threw up after having a whiff of that raunchy stuff. I don't know if it's just a Honda thing or what, but I'm changing it more often from now on

I beat my prediction of 310 miles to LF light.(1st gas fillup with new oil) This is surely headed towards 26 mpg land like with MC! man I'm happy as ---- for my car (and me).

Stay tuned as I fill the car up with gas and divide miles with gallons filled.

The great thing is I've been using A/C when needed and also doing spirited driving. 26 mpg here I come!! Thank you Conoco Phillips!

Btw, I was at about 315 miles which is not empty tank but low fuel lights. This is great.. can't wait for subsequent fillups to see what they will yield. Well on my way to 26 mpg in 100% city. I tell ya, this is what Bush must have meant when he said we need to '"Fight Terrorism, Spend more!", paraphrased ofcourse.

Oh and just because I am driving on the low fuel light, I am confident I still so much more confident on this goo. There is an absurd amount of gas left after this dummy light comes on. Like 100 miles worth of driving! so lets see, if it came on at 315, then that makes 415 miles on a tank of gas for the Accord V6. Not a bad J30A5?! Take that 2008s! I can comfortably drive to the fillup station. Yes the same one I use..another big key to FE!!

Have you checked out my thread about the new 2008 Honda FCX? It gets such excellent gas mileage, that it doesn't even need gasoline.

Nope, no I haven't. Too busy trying to figure out what pads and who is going to put on some front (and possibly rear) brake pads! These will be the first pad job as what's on there came from factory!

Well, the Low Fuel Light came on at 346 miles. Since that means I have 1/4 tank left of a 17.1 tank capacity out of my V6 gives me 346/13.1. 26.4 mpg! Incredible feat!

The ONLY way to figure (and quote) accurate MPG is to take the ACTUAL amount at the pump to fill the tank and divide the miles driven OVER MANY tanks.

Going by a low fuel light, a fuel gauge

, a MPG computer in the car or any other method than above is not factual and useless.

The last tank in my Subaru the MPG computer stated 27.7 MPG. Actual was 26.3 MPG. Over 4 tanks, MPG computer had it at 28.3, actual IS 27.1.

Please lets try to get facts and data that is accurate.

This board stated with this mindset and sadly has gone far away from it.

382 miles using 14.478 gallons giving me 26.384 final mpg is what I got. Ohh and btw, it was 87 unleaded! oh wait, that's what I put in this time. I think I used plus lasttime. I should get same mileage though as I recall the big difference is between Super Unleaded and the others.
