Just looking to compile all we know about the Honda 0w20 Blend from Conoco Phillips. Thinking about using it in the Accord next oil change, it would be the first time I used a non synthetic. How does it compare to TGMO 0w20? Anyone used it? UOA/VOA available, but only looking for the new CP product...thanks!

I wish you luck, as all the we actauly know about TGMO "the oil that we know the most about on the board" is price, and that it's made by Mobil...plus a couple of KVs on an MSDS.

I'm guessing it's specs are pretty much like the COP full syn, just lower maybe, and that oil isn't overly impressive to me anyways.

Go with Idemitsu Mazda Genuine Motor Oil high-moly 0w-20, it has a VI almost as high as TGMO, and I'm betting they are on to something good blending in 600 ppm moly. Dealership oil, can vary in price widely.

When the two Honda 0W-20 oils first came out, somebody here did VOAs on the two. IIRC, there wasn't a great difference between the two. Try searching that thread.

I used the Full Synthetic twice on my daughter's VCM Accord with used oil analysis on both. It was serviceable oil but same engine, same mileage, same lab, it didn't have nearly as much life left as SM TGMO. The legend grows.

I use Kendall GT-1 synthetic 5w-20. Granted, a different grade. But at $4.03 a quart, it's plenty impressive enough for me.

A number of people seem to like Kendall, sounds like its a good deal.
Personally, I consider the cost of oil low on the scale when I'm looking for an oil I want, incorporating what I want.
It's why I'm so happy with TGMO, great specs and cheap. I guess we are both impressed...

Indydriver,

Just purchased a 2011 Accord V6 and have been following your care of your daughter's Accord. So far it was sounding good about oil consumption between OCI's. What's the latest...
