Is $3.51 per filter out the door a decent price?

I cannot see the "forest for the trees" after messing the last round of schoolwork. I think they are $3.97 at Walmart plus tax? AAP has a 35% off special (today only) and so I can walk out (tax and all) for $3.51 per filter.

Up here in the frozen north you have to knock 4$ off the price to get it around 4$. if i used that filter i would grab a few for sure at that price. Might not be too much of a bargain for you guys but thats awesome compared to up here.

At WalMart, here in my town and in others....$3.97 out the door (no sales tax in Oregon).

So your $3.51 is a great price....I would grab a few.

^^^This
is what I am speaking of when I said "AAP has a 35% off special (today only) and so I can walk out (tax and all) for $3.51 per filter."

Thanks; I just scored 12 of them for $42.13 out the door; that brings my total up to 18 and thus I am good until I cross the 200K mark.

Haha...you should not make assumptions without supporting information. The AAP is less than 1 block from me--Houston has dozens of them.

That's about the cheapest I've seen in a while.

AAP alway have these coupon code, i guest u save 4-5 dollar on 12 filter, and spend $42 dollar on filter, that not a really big saving for motorcraft oil filter if you think of it. but anyway its your moneys, but i beleive their is alway better deal on better filter with cheaper price.

According to my calculations, I saved $9.57 versus the out the door price at Walmart on 12 filters. This is a savings of 18% against the Walmart price and I would consider that a good deal (as do others that have posted here).

By "better", I am assuming you mean performs better, so I am dying to hear what filter can perform better than a FL-820s and cause me zero concerns for any warranty issues for less than $3.51 (total price including tax). Oh, and no rebate hassles either, just a straight up discount across the counter purchase like the one that I just did. What filter is it and where can I buy it?

Do tell and enlighten all of us...

Man its your moneys, do wat u want, but if u think about it, these coupon happent many many time from advance, and the 30% off coupon is not like 1 in the life time where I spend all on oil filter, coupon like 10 dollar off on 30 spend or 15 off on 40 or 50 spend, not too long ago bosch and pure 1 have rebate, using those code above got big discount then plus rebate, at the end you pay really nothing or free. if i remmeber correctly few month ago bosch distant have rebate and with advance auto discount code above total came out free oil filter.

what im trying to say is, this coupon is not a big deal where to go all out and spend all on 5+ years worth of oil filter. and have to worried about oil filter life or ants or something dig in and eat the inside created a big hole and you may or never know about it when install on your car. or the seal getting dry so cause of many year and created leak ( saw it happent to one of the member here ) if you like motorcraft oil filter just go to walmart and pay 45-50 cent more EVERY DAY when ever you need it. and that filter is very popular filter and peoples buy it every day or every other day, and got restock with fresh filter.

if you storage oil filter, This is wat my grandpa told me, turn the filter gasket side up, and put a light coat of fresh oil and cover it with a ziplock bag, and seal it with a rubber band, and put gasket side up inside the box, it keep the seal lube and keep unwanted thing craw into the filter.

Wow, this is a 2 year old thread that you resurrected just to call someone a name?

FYI - I believe that English is not his first language, so some leeway should be given.
