My 30 year old 150k mile Club Sport is still on its original radiator, water pump and coolant hoses (I did replace the thermostat and a heater hose fitting). It last saw the track in 2012 but I do plan to at least replace the hoses before my next long trip.2008 BMW M5
I did the work, but paid almost $900 for the set of new OE radiator hoses. They were not leaking but 16 year old M car, I was trying to be proactive.
Not the most expensive by total dollar amount but likely the most expensive radiator hoses....
The most expensive repair I have ever needed was having the torque tube replaced on my Corvette. Up here that’s about a $10,000 repair bill because it is about a 16-20 hour job. Lucky for me that happened under warranty and cost me nothing. If it happens again I won’t get a dealer to replace it, I have a good friend who is a licensed mechanic and Corvette expert and works out of his home. He’s probably replaced 25 or 30 torque tubes and would be half the price of the dealerships$1,300 for a harmonic balancer installation plus align the front end on a 2005 Corvette. I have been extremely lucky with my vehicles as far as repairs are concerned.

I rode in a Greyhound bus in 1998 from Hudson Wisconsin to mesquite Texas that had a green leaker. After about 30 minutes I was ready to get off and walk.I still like to watch the videos - especially a 12V92 smoker![]()
