Does anyone else have this issue? The closest place I can buy it is at a Mobil gas station 32 miles away, and they want a pretty penny for it. Plus I want it in 5w20, and they only have 10w30.

Online I've only found one source and it seems overpriced there as well, before shipping.

It's a shame, because from some digging I've done on this site, it really seems like good stuff.

I know Mobil has a shortage with Mobil 1. Maybe there is also a shortage of Mobil synthetic blends and dino oils?

Thanks for the suggestion.

So I bought about 90 qt of MC7500 a year and a half ago at $.95 a qt. Since then it's been around $3.59 to $3.79 a qt. This post prompted me to see if Checker Auto in metro Denver still carries MC7500...low and behold they have it at $.95 a qt.!! (Last week it was $3.79 qt.)

I just placed an Internet pick up order for another 36 qts (10W30 and 5W30 mix) to bring my personal stategic oil reserve back up to 84 qts. I'll pick it up tomorrow.

You can call Mobil and they can help you find a local or closest distributor and you can pick up a case from there. I remember I had to drive down to a distributor to get a case when it first came out and availability was scarce.

I live in Lakewood (80232) and the price for 7500 is $4.89, but when I type in your zip the oil is $0.95/qt. [censored] luck SOB. I would make the trip up north but I am fighting a cold at the moment.

I got you BEAT!!! I cleaned out 2 or 3 stores consistently when the sale was on, clean them out, wait till they restocked, cleaned them out again. I made it to nearly 200 quarts. Been using it since the sale stopped....but I've still got probably 150+ stacked in the garage.

Lakewood, west of Denver.

Good catch. I just collected another 18 quarts. Might go for another 18 tomorrow.

I'm 80228 and it works for me.

Just don't get your hopes up, they'll let you order it even if the store is out of stock. Might want to call before you drive all the way over there to pick it up... I know my local stores have been sold out for over 2 years.

I thought when this particular product line was introduced that the 7500 would be the perfect compromise for most as the "blended" label would allow its' use by those with 75,000 or so on the clock and not have to worry about the rumored leaks with syn? Its'lack of availability has made this a non issue however. The average U.S. driver accumulates around 14,500 miles per year so 2 changes per year were reasonable at a seemingly good price too. I wonder what REALLY happened to this offering?

It did not sell well, so they concentrated on making and distributing thier money-makers? I also remember that the M1 EP was originally supposed to include a 10W-40 offering, but few if any ever made it to store shelves and then it disappeared too. Certain Mobil offerings are always hit or miss for availability around here.

Referring back to the partsamerica link, Pennzoil Truck/SUV in 5W-30 shows up at a whopping 25 cents/per quart !!!!
