Mobil 1 Truck SUV vs Extended Performance

I gave my 09 Altima to my daughter for a work car. She’s a physicians assistant and drives 150 miles round trip 4-6 days a week. The last several oil changes have been with clearance idemitsu 5-30 from auto zone. She showed up yesterday and I was shocked to see that she had almost 9k on the oil. I had some clearance TSC truck and suv that says “10k” guaranteed so that’s what went in along with an old school fram ultra. She was a half qt down in a car that’s never used a drop. I love my daughter more than life, but the maintenance light along with low tire lights, and any other light is something that doesn’t faze her. She just motors on. I set the oil minder for 7500 and sent her on her way. We shall see how this holds up. I’m working my way through all my clearance purchases or I’d have gone with Schaeffers, EP or hpl for some added security. Surprisingly the oil came out still somewhat clean. When I owned the car it was serviced religiously every 4-5k.

Shes saving lives not motors, thats your job. Wash it, add a bottle of Gumout Regane, change oil and filter and just know that we all have a purpose in this world to serve and to serve others. My daughter is a Sergeant in the Marine Corps, both of be proud they are doing positive and helpful things in a world filled with crime and heartbreaking tragedy.
 
Lake Speed did tests on a few Mobil 1 versions and the Truck & SUV did really well. Tests were done in HPLs lab.

i know the thread is about other oils, but it took me a while on here to realize that m1 esp is probably one of the best otc oils to get for a good price. i know this is about m1 tsuv and ep but for someone looking at tsuv, it seems like a no brainer to run esp 0w30 or 5w30, but i get it, if u want a long long oci then def the EP over the esp

esp 0w30 has esters which u won't find in these other oils
