Mobil 1 T&SUV gone from WM?

All the Walmarts in the Austin area have pulled Mobil 1 T&SUV from the shelves. One of the WM employees stated that their paperwork showed it was being discontinued. I don't consider the employee a rock soild source but, this does have me worried. Do any of you know if this is true?

Could it be that Mobil is pulling the 5W40 so that they can market the illusive 10W40 EP? It would be a drag to pay a dollar more a qt. for the EP when the T&SUV is such a great oil.

What other stores sell T&SUV?

Last week when I called Mobil's tech line they said M1 SUV would still be available in a 5w-40 version as well as a 5w-30.

New, reformulated Mobil-1 in 5W-40 and 5W-30 is coming in mid-February. So the old stock must either be sold by then or transferred to another Wal*Mart that sells alot of it.

Any idea on whether the new formula will be ester based and similar/the same as D1?
