Hello,

I've read on the board that mixing different weights of M1 is no problem, but what about mixing Tri-Syn and Super-Syn? I have a left over quart of 0W30 Tri-Syn that I thinking of using with 10W30 SS this winter.

reemore,

That should not be a problem...the TriSyn formulation didn't work out well, but if you are going to mix it into a predominantly Supersyn batch and just run it for the winter...I don't see any problem.

First off the new Mobil One SS, SL rated is backwards compatible with the TS, Mobil One SJ rated. So even if you had a strict requirement for the SL rating, short term it will not make a difference. By your post I am guessing you have requirement for the older SJ rating, so NO PROBLEM at all.
