I owned a blue 03 Vue with AWD. Loved it. Until one day We got 16" of snow and I got stuck. Rear wheels were not spinning and there is no light to indicate the AWD was active. Angry I was. Towards the end of the life cycle I noticed the oil started to become sludgy and a milky white, I'm guessing coolant leak. Traded it in. I missed the Vue but the ride was bumpy and loud.

Just wanted to post a quick update. I greatly appreciate all of the input!
After searching for 2-3 weeks I gave up on trying to find a Vue that fit my criteria. They are so popular in the used car crowd that they were all sold withing hours of being put up for sale. The ones that weren't sold instantly were either super high mileage (250K+) or hunks of junk.
I ended up picking up a 99 Subaru Legacy outback 30th anniversary trim for a good price. It needs a new clutch and a few oil leaks fixed but is in nice shape and low miles,123K. It already had the head gaskets and timing belt done at 100K so I am good to go there. I have had motors out of Subie's in the past so a clutch swap and seal replacement will be straight forward on this one.
