The second row seat operation is clunky, to say the least.
Also, doesn’t matter now, we got used Sequoia.

Nice, those are very spacious, much more than the new ones.

The new ones are just junk. From a quality standpoint, to design.
I have no idea who they made that vehicle for. Our Sequoia (although it uses gas like MIG21) is that blend of family vehicle and off road vehicle. But new one, it is like they made it for YouTube "bros" who complained how old one has independent suspension, so articulation is not on par Land Cruiser or JEEP. So they put a battery in the trunk, solid axle, which means they had to raise the floor, and you get a trunk that is less usable than in the X7. X7 is actually more practical than the new Sequoia.
But hey, articulation...

I have thought many times that the basic vans like Chevy or Ford would sell like crazy in 4WD - so why are they not on the lot? Then the light came on - they must be afraid that morons would leave the engine and AC on for 8 hours or more - and do it many days/nights …

I think they would sell. Amount of modified vans here is insane. Once in mountains you can see these MB’s everywhere (I mean, not decked up like this). Also RAM and Ford Transit modified vans are there in decent numbers too.
GM is clearly missing from this segment.
