Recently had this fully loaded Palisade from National, and when I say loaded I mean loaded. Alcantara seating and headliner, a ton of tech, cooled first and second row seats, even the third row was heated with power recline! Put 700 miles on this Palisade, it had 19k on it when I picked it up. For size comparison, I'd compare this to a Grand Cherokee L.
Pros - Comfort is excellent. The seats are great, the ride is great and the steering/handling/brakes are all good for this class of vehicle. Engine has plenty of power, but hampered by a transmission that's always in a gear or two higher than it should be. Fit and finish, along with interior material quality all were good. A ton of space, I was relegated to the third row at one point and I had plenty of room and had no complaints about sitting back there.
Cons - For all the tech this car had, I found a lot of it clunky. There's no wireless Android Auto or CarPlay which I find ridiculous for a 2024 vehicle. I'm not sure how useful the blind spot cameras that come on in the gauge cluster are when you put the turn signals on, not a spot I'm looking at when I'm changing lanes. I wasn't too crazy about the interface for the infotainment system, but it was okay.
I can see why people buy these, and I would definitely say they're worth a look. It's a nice, well rounded vehicle that's comfortable and has a ton of space. Some rentals I can't wait to give back and some I want to keep, this is in the keep category.
