2024 BMW X7 4.0i Review (rental)

We went from the 72 510 to a 82 King Cab with a bed shell for our cross country travels in the early 80’s. My older brother got both jump seats and myself and other brother got the bed. My dad had the carpet kit in bed for comfort. 🙄

Lol. Carpet kit . Nice and comfortable I'm sure.

We had this with CB radio on our cross country trips. It was 5 of us.

INEOS Grenadier station wagon seats 3 across the second seat. You know you want one. MPGs and ride be dammed. ;)

Ask @FlyingTexan.

Oh man, X7 doesn’t have problem seating 3 in second bench. Problem is seating siblings in second bench for 5,000 miles.

Congrats on the birth of your third child. I second the minivan option. Hehe
Been there, done that. I agree, a minivan from a practical standpoint is the best. No doubt about that. And I really don;t care about "cool" factor. However, we do a lot of nature stuff, national parks, etc., and the minivan was good as long as we were on the pavement, and very often, to see the coolest stuff, you have to get off the pavement. It is not even the question of 4WD vs. AWD, it is just clearance. I got Atlas bcs. of that, but than had that windshield problem.

I had minivan. That junk Sienna. I need clearance.

Someone heard you, as there are 2 previous gen siennas rolling around here with exoskeleton tube bumpers, lifts and all-terrains, with of course larger roof racks and clamp-on lower-windshield trail floods. If they made it a little less obvious might might be sold on it personally. Sipsi wilderness calling their name…

The suspension failed on my SIenna at 85k. Not sure how those lifted ones fair. I know what you talking about.
But between suspension, junky brakes, trunk lid and hinges made out of paper ($5,000 item. Ask me how I know), I had it enough.
Practicality-wise, it is an excellent vehicle to drop kids at school and take some groceries.

Congratulations on your 3rd!

I also decided to do this to myself in my 40s (we just welcomed our 4th in less than 5 years, last month).

We have an Odyssey. But I know you need ground clearance.
