Sounds like a slightly more fuel-efficient version of the Pirelli P4, from what I've read so far. With the cost of the P4's now equal to the HydroEdges everywhere I've checked, it's a simple choice to get the more fuel-efficient tire.
I too have the P4's on my Altima but the road noise in fine as I wouldn't call the Altima a super quiet car. It's a quiet car but not as quiet as some(Toyota or Buick) but quieter than others.
If the HydroEdge and the P4's are now the same price, it's time to check out the Michelin's this time. And if your looking for a quiet tire, try the Hankook Optimo H727. Not only are they quiet, the rolling resistance is at least average so, MPG should be OK, their winter traction for an A/S tire is top notch, the hydro plaining resistance is very good, the price is probably better (And, And) with a rebate to boot this tire could be the perfect match for the rolling couch. Also, they will handle better than the Buick is capable of anyway, the H727's are a better/less expensive tire than the Good/Year Comfort tread(itself a quiet tire) and the Hankook's rate higher too. And to top it all off, the reviews are incredible.
I can speak for them as there are 3 sets of 4 tires in our circle...Mazda3, Toyota Camry, Honda CR-V. 3 different charactors of vehicles and doing fine on all 3!
