That sucks, honestly. My Orient mechanical is at +2s a day, and it hasn't even been calibrated.

My Seiko automatic on the other hand is pretty bad as far as accuracy.

Ya. My AT is +3/day.

I am still wearing my Seiko Railroad Approved stainless steel watch that I bought in I think 1986. All metal gears. The ones they make today have plastic gears.

I hardly ever wear a watch anymore.

Today, I'm wearing an orange six dollar ish plastic quartz watch from China via Ebay, that keeps about as good a time as many watches I have costing hundreds of dollars more.

I like the bright colors and light weight, and if it gets mangled or broken, who cares.

I can see why women like expensive watches - it's fine jewelry and I'm okay with that. I just never saw the point in an expensive watch for myself. I think a Seiko is the most expensive watch I own. I change the battery regularly, but probably haven't worn it in decades.

I bought Seiko Solar Two-Tone few months ago but the belt is already showing too much wear on it and there are lots of scuff marks on it. I recall older Seikos would never show any wear even after years.

I think about getting a nice watch every so often. Then I wind up gouging whatever I'm wearing 'cuz I forgot to take it off. Takes the desire out right there.

Right now I wear some Victorinox one, looks ok, does the job, and it was free. I have a cheapie Timex that I stopped wearing as I think I got some poison ivy into it (while cutting grass). I probably should find another cheap one.

Their movements are horribly inaccurate unless it's a quartz. I wouldn't recommend their autos to anyone.

When you get a nice one, you will take better care of it.

My orient 3-star (currently wearing on a daily basis) was accurate to +1/day until my 3-yrs old dropped it...I re-cal it now to approx -5/day (lack of tools and time to re-cal afterwards).

Yea, these are the type of watches that I like to wear daily. And something different when we go out for the evening.

Though I still have a Timex from the early '70s. And I always wear a watch.

The blue-faced Citizen above is a dressier watch already. I wouldn't wear it with casual clothing.

Received a $130ish model Citizen Eco-Drive as a service award from work. It is classy looking with out looking gaudy. I wear it now instead of my Seiko when I go out. Both keep fantastic time . But my everyday watch is a Victorinox Swiss Army from the 80's, but it eats batteries. BTW Costco has some of the nice Swiss Army watches.

I've always liked the classic simplicity of military watches.

All around good performing ETA 2824 movement. Mine loses about 2-3s over 24 hours, which is pretty impressive for a standard grade movement. The style works well with business casual or general daily wear. A little too dressed down to wear with anything fancy.

It is still my favorite and most worn watch. My wife purchased mine grey market for somewhere in the $300-400 range. I believe they run about $600 from an authorized U.S. retailer.
