Funny how discussing age and what's considered 'middle age' came up yesterday during family get together.
My rationale was, considering life expectancy being 75 years, the middle third is middle age, so 26-50 is middle age, senior after that. I didn't get much support as others wanted to associate with younger group where middle age group would start at 40.
Then I told them the joke about girl wishing she finally gets a job and moves out from parents as she's 36...
IMHO, it's mostly about level of mental and behavioral maturity that puts people into these groups.

If your ONE years old you’re expected to live to 73

If you live to 55 your life expectancy is 79
If you live to 62 your life expectancy is 81
If you live to 70, your life expectancy is 83
If you’re still alive at 75 you’re expected to live past 85

It's pretty middle of the road for a super automatic, I had a basic one for about 20 years before it went belly up.

The break even vs drive throughs to pick up a cup if your nuclear group drinks 2-4 cups a day is faster than you'd think.

You tend to save coffee by never wasting anything that would be leftover in a pot.

No special one use pucks like keurigs or nespressos - get whatever bean or ground coffee you want- although with ground coffee you have to load each cups worth manually - beans are automatic.

When I have a houseful of business guests and everyones hitting the thing for a variety of drinks from double short espressos, to super tall Lattes, or just old americanos they are all made to order with no drama beyond keeping it full of water, and or milk and pushing a button.

To be fair, we also have a Keurig my wife primarily uses, and I use once in a blue moon when I'm in a hurry. She doesn't drink much coffee, and likes the caramel/vanilla flavored ones, yech.

Never been a snob, but now this thread has shocked me into accepting I'm an elder, its easier to say Ive become my parents right alongside dad, and grandpa, which is to say looking for the right cup at the right price and chains arent usually where you get that.

But often on the road you have no choice so where's a guy to go to get a twofer- good cup, good price. If you end up at Dunkin',Tim Hortons, or Mc'ds you can get a decent regular cup at a decent price.

Have a super automatic for home so every cup is the first cup with a fresh grind.

I think it was last year I received a senior's discount at TJ Maxx out of all places, I didn't even ask , and I'll be fifty next year. When I meet up with a friend at 7AM on the occasional Saturday morning, I now ask for two seniors coffees and they've now dropped free refills at McDonald's.

As a side note, I almost bought a SMEG yesterday and once I saw the COO, I put it back on the shelf, besides, I don't need another machine. I think I saw your model Philips/Saeco at Target but couldn't find the COO on the floor model.

Mc D coffee is one of the better ones out there at least here on the east coast. I had it on the west coast and the stuff was awful. Could have used it for blacktop coating.

Love percolator coffee, we bring the big trade show percolators on the road to keep both us and our clients and friends going.

It's amazing how many total strangers will take you up on a cup of coffee during all hours of eth day.

Best Micky Dicky coffee I had was at McD in Frankfurt airport on my layover about 20 years ago, I was on way to Tunisia for a few days. I still remember how impressed I was with that coffee.

Medically speaking, middle age is often defined as 55-75 but there are plenty people who are old at 50.

I've heard good things about Wawa and Sheetz. Wawa is still almost 600 miles away from my little corner of the world so I still have time to use up my Speedway gift cards.

I think I have a good taste for coffees. You can always tell if you are at a 5stat restaurant bc of their coffee. McDonalds coffee does not rise to that but their coffee is hard to beat. And $1 for the senior size. Anyone disagree or disagree(expected...lol)?

It’s far better than some called “Starbucks”. Delta is right though: Rutters hands down is hettter.

I remember what it was like years ago before I drank coffee. Usually in a styrofoam cup and with sugar and half and half separately. Also those little plastic stir sticks.
