Malibu. Worth the money?

Sorry for your loss Sir. I wish you the best in your sell. I would check NADA and Blue Book then go from there.

i have a 2021 rs , traded a a 2016 lt for it , the 2016 was a lot better car ,
your lt should ride well , the 1.5 turbo should give adequate power , but with the cvt tranny its a slug
the fuel milage is incredable , when conditions are right ive gotten high 40s to 50 mpg
with the cvt , i dont plan on keeping mine past 60000 waranty

that price seems ok , if you need a car , but this market has things all over the place

Brother passed away. 2021 Malibu LT 1.5 Turbo. Leather Package, Driver l & ll confidence Package, Tilt Power Sunroof, Midnight edition. Has all options except Navigation and 2.0 Turbo. 29k miles. Is it worth $23k? Excellent condition.
Not really. Especially being that its used with 29K on it.

Sorry for your loss.

I would try a Kelly Blue Book purchase, or if you are looking for a new car trade it. The savings on sales tax could be large.

Thanks to all that responded. After reading all of the posts, I will try to sell to a dealer or a KBB purchase. Money will be split 3 ways, so a little is better than nothing.

Check out Vroom as well - the difference between what CarMax was quoting and them was to the tune of about $4k difference. Vroom offered me about $500 less than what I paid for my E-Golf almost 2 years ago, I strongly considered it for a few days. Also a good thing is they did not incessantly harass me after my quote, just two emails total - one with the quote and another when the 7 day expiration date was nearing.

Sell it for the estate. KBB shows $27k to $29k private sale and $24k to $26k trade in. We are thinking sell to dealer. Short time frame
My friend got a great price for his 20' Equinox thru Carvanna...or Vroom, (I forget since he shopped it at both)...You should go online and see what they'll give you... Also, sorry for your loss...

sorry for your loss...

in my experience you will do much better selling to Carvana or similar (Vroom, etc)...we have a Carvana near where I live...I sold 2 vehicles to them last year and I was in and out of the building in under a half hour...

As long as you are truthful with your assessment online (you fill out information prior to your appointment if you go the route I did) the amount offered does not change...I had the money transferred to my account before I left the building and I was never bothered by Carvana after the sale...

my experience with dealerships (twice) is they offer you one price and then knock that amount down significantly once you arrive at the showroom for all sorts of made up reasons...not worth my time or energy...

Good luck with your choice,

Bill

Since you're selling it, I would like to echo about grabbing a quote from one or two dealerships as well as carvana, vroom, and carmax. 23K seems really low compared to the KBB - even to low to justify a quick sale.
