Don't know if this has been posted but today I purchased a 5 quart jug of M1 0W-20 AFE at my local Walmart in NJ. It is SN oil. Cost $23.50 like the other grades.

This is the first time I have seen this oil in a 5 quart jug.

That's great news.

I'd use the 0W-20 if I could find it in the 5 qt. jugs.

And I'd certainly be buying the Pennzoil Platinum or Ultra if Wally World would stock it.

I'm in NW NJ and hope my WallyWorld starts stocking this!!

I just checked two Walmarts in Northern Virginia - Fair Lakes and Sterling.

Fair Lakes had two 5-quart jugs of 0W-20 SN at $23.50. I bought them both. Sterling did not have them at all.

For both Wal-Marts, all the 0W-20 quarts were marked SM - no SN sighted at either one.

First of all, none of my local Walmarts carry 0w-20 AFE in 5 quart jugs, so I'm completely jealous!

But the more interesting thing: M1 has SN oil out? I have not seen any SN synthetic oils besides PP, PU, and maybe another but I can't remember. Has anyone else seen M1 in the SN flavour?

Because that's what the Honda engineers spec'd for my car.

I, for one, cant wait until I can get my paws on some of that Honda 0w10.

I think you're making too many assumptions on the shear properties of this oil

Damon, as you know there is no downside to 0 wt oils. I started using 0-20 in the Fusion a few months ago and plan to stay with it. "Fisskier" has been using M1 0-20 for years in winter and summer. At time he tows heavy loads in very hot temps, and has put 300K + on engines, all with 0-20. Here is a link from XM.

Current fill in my Buick is M1 0W 30 year round ...driven mostly by teenage drivers who do not know the meaning of letting the car warm up properly, so at least the 0W is lubricating several seconds earlier at start up !
