I had a Samsung Q80B 2 years ago I loved the picture of the TV, unfortunately it broke in the move. I'm looking to purchase a TV, I'm looking to spend no more then $1500.
I would rather stay, with Samsung, LG or Sony.

What size are you looking for? What lighting conditions and use case?

Please don't buy an LG.
I have an LG C7 and B8 oleds. Both 55". 8 and 7 years old respectively.
Both used daily and have been rock solid from day one.
LG washer and dryer going on 12 years and again, no issues.
I guess I've been lucky.

What size? what usage?
what room lighting

What is the viewing angle 1 couch/bed? or wide angle couch+chairs etc
etc

Kicking myself I didn’t buy the insta-break with the 2 year return warranty (and keep my old 50 in the basement for when it fails). Shown is lg and big Sam but there Samsung in similar size was a similar price And also insta break

Sony is HPL.

LG and Samsung are like Shell and Exxon.

That S84F above has a LG panel I think.
That is being very generous to LG and Samsung.

I shouldn't complain. I've got a Samsung plasma downstairs that has been a trooper. It's been in use for probably 15 years. Never a problem. Even though it is old technology, it still has awesome picture quality. But from what I have read, I think I'm a lucky one.

I also have an LG upstairs. While I have had no issues with the picture quality, the smart tv functions have been less than impressive. I don't know how many times I have had to unplug the tv, to hard reset the functions. Most recently, the programming will freeze for short time.

We exclusively watch streaming programming on all our tv's. No antenna, cable or satellite.

My next tv will absolutely be a Sony.

If you've had a Samsung, better to stay with Samsung. Samsungs have brighter and more brilliant color vs. Sony. .02
