look out for scam!!

yesterday i clicked a link after the post on curing kia oil burning issues supposed to link to a factory fix, computer went "nuts" locked page + displayed a fake microsoft warning + 866-558-8715 to call, looked legit BUT after a long conversation what looked authentic was a SCAM!!
 
Seems the OP has a lot of computer issues?



 
Reminds me of my customers claiming my sporting goods website was putting adult material pop ups on their computers when their surfing habits were the real reason...

Oh the drama.... not about the OPs issue just a not so fond memory

i use chrome + read that post before, but it noted to click the official kia fix, all better now but concerned for sure i hung up my land line i was using when the scammer said they could send a transfer $$$ to protect my money. suspected a scam from the hard to understand speech among other errors + when i hung up my land line all was well, but quite realistic IMO!!
