Lets talk about new vehicles

Automakers that won't survive 2026
My Mitsubishi name was mentioned. My experience is they have been bulletproof however now too expensive these days .

I always got better trade ins on these than Ford....
Just a video for discussion

It is indeed, the poor thing drones and buzzes.

I tried a Corolla Cross Hybrid (same powertrain as the sedan me think), and this one is polished, and actually fast. And brings a welcome AWD option (to the sedan as well)
I wouldn't expect much more though from a $26k economy car that weighs 3k pounds. But considering it's the M20A with both port and DI and has a 1st gear CVT, I think it's a very good choice for daily and long term reliability.

Anyone think Nissan's going to make it a few more years?
My sister’s Altima was a huge disappointment. The last Nissan I’d been in was a 1987 Nissan 300ZX and it felt absolutely luxurious by comparison. Nissan needs to lower their prices significantly to compete due to the quality of their products.

Stopped by a dealer the other day for fun. Nissan Rogue selling for $44,000 Absolutely ridiculous.

Being Honda stopped making the NA port injected 2.0, that leaves only the Toyota 2.0 M20A MKS as the only port/GDI NA 4cylinder left on the market.

We would not be happy if they didn't.

LOVE our 2012 Altima, has been an amazing car.

So far her 2024 Pathfinder Platinum hasn't disappointed, so I hope they stick around.
Surprised they brought back the Altima. But it was objectively a good car.

Back at looking at Frontiers again. Used. But don't want to buy something from an automaker that ceases operations. Especially with how computer oriented modern cars are.

I have had Nissans since 1980,
I always went that way because in the day Toyota was far more expensive and had funky plaid cloth interiors I didn't care for...
I know many that got great durability from them.

I think you'll find more folks that like the brand than hate it.

I see a Hyundai Kona daily and what a funky vehicle...
The backend looks really weird and it has those PT cruiser taillights...

Not much style there.

I have prostituted myself to the lowest bidder and did unspeakable things to obtain the ultimate
long range road cruiser. Obviously I have failed and need your help.

What I require............

* Great seats for a bad back and I do not like tiny bottoms in my rides but- never mind... ; )
* Roomy- I hate when they put you in a cubicle like a Ford Taurus
* No Fords- I hate their seats
* No pickups- AWD or FWD fine- CVT is okay
* Very quiet with minimal road noise
* If hwy mpg is below 25 mpg- no thanks- The more the better- MORE!
* Hybrid ok
* Don't need a prestige brand- been there before
* Reliable- Sometimes I will put 3-4K miles on in one week
* Car-SUV-CUV okay
* Budget.. $25K-$55K NEW!

Thanks!
Toyota Rav4
