Lets talk about new vehicles

I see a Hyundai Kona daily and what a funky vehicle...
The backend looks really weird and it has those PT cruiser taillights...

Not much style there.

Hun/Kia has really lost their way styling wise the last few years. Hyundai's have traditionally been ugly, but they got Kia to join the party and those used to be among the better-looking rides.

Subaru still wins the "we can put more gaudy plastic cladding on than you" contest though.

Being Honda stopped making the NA port injected 2.0, that leaves only the Toyota 2.0 M20A MKS as the only port/GDI NA 4cylinder left on the market.

I've been thinking about this post. I do not know what the Toyota 2.0 M20A MKS is, but the Toyota GR86/Subaru BRZ has a Toyota-designed fuel delivery system that piggybacks port injection with direct injection. I'm guessing that that will work out better than the Miata, which has only direct injection.

I have had Nissans since 1980,
I always went that way because in the day Toyota was far more expensive and had funky plaid cloth interiors I didn't care for...
I know many that got great durability from them.

I think you'll find more folks that like the brand than hate it.
Don’t forget that back in 1980 they were still going by Datsun. My mom had a 1981 Datsun 280ZX. I remember in small print on the rear Datsun badge it said “by Nissan”

I had a 1969 Datsun SPL311 and a 1993 Pathfinder SE. Since then Nissan hasn't built anything that I'd enjoy owning aside from the Xterra.
YMMV.

Stopped by a dealer the other day for fun. Nissan Rogue selling for $44,000 Absolutely ridiculous.
Well, don't look at the most expensive one! That why it's still on the lot.

Dealer near me (Manchester, NH) has at least a dozen new 2026 S and SV trim under 30K! Even available in notorious white, LOL.

Of course It's a DO NOT BUY due to the exploding 3 cyl 1.5L turd blow engine.

It was great in mud and snow....low 20 mpgs overall

Loved those but was there ever a vehicle that sounded more like a tin can when slamming the door than they did lol?
Soooo prone to rust but mechanically were very robust💪
