Lets talk about new vehicles

That needs a SC 7.3L instead
I think it weigh in under 2300 lbs wet. BB Not for the street. A solid cammed SBF should play nice music behind your head.

80g's is cheap money for that car. It has the real monocoque racing "chassis" ; it is not a bug pan supercar poseur
It IS a Race car.

I'm sure it is but I have no need to go fast, only a need to go :)

Then live your retired years broke.
I got that covered already and I found out a few weeks ago my time will be very short.
But I get it......... Seen it many times. Not pretty.

Sorry to hear that. At 68 years old I am starting think about the end often.

Yeah it's weird but it sort of becomes part of your day. Never thought about it much under 55.

Thanks all. I'm good for now. Getting a second opinion today at 3 pm. Maybe I should start a new thread. " Please pick me a new doctor"

On second thought...nah.....got to keep my energy up....lol...

Back to the subject.
Jeep GC and the various trims.
Why so many? My Honda dealer said Jeep has a very high resale value. I heard it here too but lately it seems Subaru with all its past woes is a resale value king???

Subaru seems to have an irrationally rabid cult following. I don't get it either. But those are the folks paying good money for used Subies.

Saturn in their day tried the same marketing as Subaru. You know..you are part of a club...
The plastic body panels made Saturn and later they dumped them.
Making them just another economy box.

My BIL had one of the very first Saturn models and it was a great car. Later they just got swallowed into the GM machine and you might as well drive a Chevy at that point.

That same BIL just bought a 2021 Subaru Crosstrek. I warned him (we've had 6 Foresters at work it hasn't been great) but he was fixated on the Crosstrek ever since it came out. He is not a hard user of vehicles, dealer services them, I hope and expect it will be okay for him.

He was not issued a Bernie Sanders bumper sticker upon purchase, I thought that was standard Subaru equipment?

I agree. The plastic made the Saturn unique just as the boxer engines make Subaru unique. The wider body gaps in the plastic didn't sit well with some consumers and l believe that is why plastic was discontinued.

Saw a @dareo too. Low rent model- MSRP $34K
Doesn't the front look like a Jeep GC?

The cheap carnival is still quite good. LX Seat Package for example is just lacking in the screen stuff. EX is probably the best trim level for about 4k more than LX seat package.

Snagging a Grand Cherokee would also be a very nice vehicle considering you don't need all the seats of a van.
