Never thought I'd recommend it, but if I needed something in those criterias the Subaru Forester would be a good look. Decent economy, space, and AWD for the Northeast winters.
Any of the old issues still at play?Never thought I'd recommend it, but if I needed something in those criterias the Subaru Forester would be a good look. Decent economy, space, and AWD for the Northeast winters.
I have prostituted myself to the lowest bidder and did unspeakable things to obtain the ultimate
long range road cruiser. Obviously I have failed and need your help.
What I require............
* Great seats for a bad back and I do not like tiny bottoms in my rides but- never mind... ; )
* Roomy- I hate when they put you in a cubicle like a Ford Taurus
* No Fords- I hate their seats
* No pickups- AWD or FWD fine- CVT is okay
* Very quiet with minimal road noise
* If hwy mpg is below 25 mpg- no thanks- The more the better- MORE!
* Hybrid ok
* Don't need a prestige brand- been there before
* Reliable- Sometimes I will put 3-4K miles on in one week
* Car-SUV-CUV okay
* Budget.. $25K-$55K NEW!
Thanks!
Do you have reason to believe they can handle the high mileage requirements?? I have owned those products in the past but nothing recently.Grand Cherokee or Durango might be worth a look. The Pentastar will definitely meet your fuel mileage requirements, the 6.4L? Not so much, lol.
The 3.6 Pentastar engine will definitely handle the high mileage requirements. It’s a very refined engine. Couple that with the ZF-8 transmission and it will take you a long way. I wished @StevieC was still around. He could attest to the reliability.Do you have reason to believe they can handle the high mileage requirements?? Lots of high mileage pentastars out there now and the WK2 is a mature platform. The ZF 8 speed is probably the best trans on the market, so I don't see any reason why they wouldn't hold up. I see quite a few 2011+ with >200,000km on them, still appear to be in good shape and commanding a decent price.Do you have reason to believe they can handle the high mileage requirements?? Says he was last on December 3rd it looks like. Doesn’t appear to be banned. Maybe he got bored or busy.I haven’t seen anything by him for quite a while.
Oh, and in case you are wondering what the Durango looks like with the interior refresh, I made this thread a little while back:Do you have reason to believe they can handle the high mileage requirements?? I have owned those products in the past but nothing recently.

Oh ok. I think I would go crazy without this forum I’m on 6 forums but this one is best.He takes self-imposed vacations from social media, which I think is healthy and something I should probably do more of myself.
