I agree, but he wouldn't of found out from his manager either.

I had an AZ experience myself. I was looking for PP 0W-20 yesterday and the AZ helper along with his manager insisted that it wasn't made. I said it was and suggested they check the Pennzoil website, after checking they told me it wasn't available for order. All they had to say was give me your number and I'll get back to you. Lost sale, lost customer!!!!!!!!

I had an AZ manager ask me if I really needed German Castrol 0w30 because its made for European cars which are really different than American and Japanese cars. He mentioned that running it in my Mazda might mess something up.

I was going to ask him what types of engines where used in European cars, but instead of heckling him I just left.

If you are asking the Autozone people for help, you are in need of help, yourself. I do hate when they don't know their OWN stuff... like how to find something on the computer. I feel like saying 'let me find it'.

As a part-time employee for the largest parts store, I sincerely mean this when I say PLEASE COME BACK, FRANK!

You probably knew AZ didn't carry 0W-20 going in since it wasn't on the shelf and there wasn't a label for it. In fact, there has been a thread about the lack of distro on this product, but you asked anyway. Lots of people come in to AZ playing "let's ask absurd questions and then LOL when the AZ employee doesn't know".

Someone came in the other day asking where the ZIRC fittings were...he was trying to be smart thinking I didn't know he was looking for grease fittings.

You have to realize, some of these people don't really know how the system works...glorified cashiers. BUT there are some knowledgeable people...these are the ones to ask. Ask a manager or the store manager if you can't find something.

Yes, you get what you pay for and you now know why many people who are price conscious don't automatically buy at NAPA. Those certified parts jocks aren't cheap. Sometimes you get lucky and one of the advancing cashiers, who's gotten his feet wet (being right more than he's been wrong in the working experience) , hangs around before going on to greener pastures ..but "chain" wage controls usually limit that a good bit.
