I noticed a neighbor in an apartment complex always has all 4 windows down half way. When inquiring she said they are broken and won’t move. She is in poor health and low on money. The car i believe is the latest model of focus but it’s a few years old at least. Is there anything i could easily check. Obviously the fuses. Does anyone know how many fuses there are and where they are located. Also possibly the window switch on drivers door is bad? Would that cause all windows you not work even from other switches?

I can't see that they'd have the switches in a relay, but you never know. My gut says it's a fuse issue.

Coincidentally enough, my Giulia has been at the dealer for two weeks with a sun roof that is stuck in the open position.

Late model vehicles (depending on how late), the widows work through a body control module, which in most cases, isn't an easy check.

However, fuse or circuit breaker is as good a place as any to look. The next place to look is, how to by-pass the master switch and see if the windows operate.

There's a fuse box in the trunk on the driver side. It will be behind a cheap cardboard/carpet rectangular access "door." Fuse F6 and F7 here are for the windows. Fuse F4 and F5 are also for the door switch/window assembly thingy so you could check those out at the same time. All 4 are 25amp.

My passenger rear window is stuck down. 2021. Ford’s solution was disconnect and tape it up. I added the crash wrap as the packing tape wasn’t going to hold. Quality is Job #19EF8DE65-4DA8-4782-811F-D690139FA5BA.jpegA8F82EA1-90B4-437E-B449-C4934DF4D9D2.jpeg

In all my years of driving, I've had one power window break...and it was in a Ford! 2005 F-150, washed it and went in the house to get cleaned up. Came back out and the driver's window was down! I said there's no way I left that window down. Hop in, hit the up button and nothing but a fast click. $99 at Autozone for a regulator and an hour of my time and it was back in business. Oddly, the new regulator was wired backwards so up was down and down was up, luckily the pins popped right out of the connector and I was able to reverse them easily.

You must not keep your vehicles very long! they have cheap plastic parts in them that break every time! In the 4 vehicles that I maintain, I've replaced 5 window regulators, with at least 3 more considered to be questionable. Vehicle brands include GM, Toyota, and Dodge (the Dodge probably also has wiring issues, because Dodge). My Fords I've never had to do this, yet, but most of them have had manual crank windows that never break.
