My mom had a crush fracture of her left big toe last Thursday… My step father who I love as much as my dad who passed away 14 plus years ago had a major back surgery on Monday and it’s not been going well…

He has a history of atrial fibrillation, on warfarin for that, and now a bowel issue and an infection now too. He almost had a syncope episode on Tuesday and then test he was in severe pain and he could not get up… Two men had to help him last night to get up and out of his chair. Mom had to call EMS to get him to the hospital at 6 am this morning.

Blood count is down significantly but not low enough for PRBCs transfusion. Which is ok but concerning to a degree.

He has been admitted to a local hospital which is a very good development. They were trying at first to get him into a rehab facility. Which he clearly was not stable enough for to be done…. Thank goodness better decisions have been made.

I’m worried guys….

I enjoy being on here and I am grateful for many of you regular guys on here. You all have taught me a whole, whole lot and helped me laugh a lot too over time. I have had some very, very dark times with in the past several years. Being on here has actually helped me get through those very dark times. Through getting a different and better perspective or just laughing and or being able to maybe be of help to someone else at times… All of that did indeed help me a lot. I am very, very, very thankful for you all on here. God bless you all. Sincerely, Bradley

Keeping your Mom and Stepdad in our thoughts and sending positive energy to you, Bradley. Hoping your Stepdad was admitted to Riverside Doctors' Hospital in Williamsburg as it is a top-notch facility.

Yeah not so lucky there.., They went to Riverside in Gloucester county.

But at least those world champions are handling things fairly well. So far…

My sister who has her PhD in nursing is there now. . And she can be like General Patton… So that is helpful.

I am having a rough time a bit with my illness. I have multiple sclerosis and I just need to rest and lay low for now…

And that’s hard hard for me to do…

Tough when things are totally out of your control, or there's.
I wish them and you the best.
I hope that both of them and you heal and can enjoy better times.
Life is great but quality of life is what matters.

Well said! I think most of us have wrestled with the hard stuff that life inevitably throws at us. This is an excellent community.

You’re in my thoughts and I wish the best for you all.
I believe you’re doing the right thing by taking care of yourself a little bit and letting your Sister, “General Patton”, handle things for now. As hard as that is, it has to be done. 😉
