Nice! I found one for $399 shipped +$30 FFL fee so $430 out the door. Just haven't pulled the trigger on the deal yet. Have you seen the LCR .357? I'd like to compare them side by side. Congrats on the new pistola!!

That's a LOT cheaper than I paid. I asked about the LCR .357, he didn't know when they'd be in.

Yeah, that's as cheap as I can find. Right now Academy here has them on sale for $420 or $430. Everyday price is $449 for Academy. I buy a lot from budsgunshop.com. Worth a look before your next purchase...

I wanted to buy from Buds (drove there a few times, actually), but for me being able to do the whole transaction locally (now in Indiana) was a big plus.

Your Civic gets good enough mileage, you could!

Bought more ammo (the big yellow box is a 250 round box) and went shooting today. The +P loads have a LOT more recoil than the plain 38 Special in this 13.5 oz gun.

I would have bought the .357 version if they'd had it yet. I still might eventually

owie on the recoil.

Nice. I've also been looking to get one. I have a Scandium Smith .357 that I love (weighs under 12oz) but since it cost me just under $1000 I'd like to have a less expensive gun to carry and not worry about and that Ruger may fit the bill in .357 for under $500.

See...I just don't understand that. You spent a grand on a S&W J-Frame to do what? Sit in the safe? A 12oz J-Frame is perhaps the ultimate concealed carry revolver and I just can't understand someone buying one and then not use it for its intended purpose.

Not at all. I was not clear. I left out the word car. I will continue to carry concealed a top quality gun. I prefer a less expensive one kept in the car in case of theft. I always have 2 weapons. One stored and one on the body.
