I just got some edge 0w20 for 5.99/qt at AAP! Its the only one within 30 miles that carries that viscosity. It will be going in my 2007 V6 accord.

Anyone else try the 0w-20 or a 5w-20 in these cars? Just curious.

had you gone to orielys you could have got 5 quarts and a m1 filter for $32, i love edge 5w20, have yet to try 0w20

No O'reillys in my state whatsoever.

My setup will be the edge 0w20 and a Pureone filter.

Hopefully my car wont mind the cold starts this winter with that setup lol.

Do you guys think thats too thin for my application? I guess i'm just paranoid because i have never gone thinner than spec'd before lol

0w20 isnt truely lighter than 5w20, i think in your area you will actually benefit on start up w 0w20 as youre area is somewhat cold, so no ill effects in anyway

cool. its been quite cold so far for just starting winter. Its been in the 10s/teens/20s for a few weeks.

mid december in indiana should be hi 30s, this yr the avg has been low 20s, when you plan to change the oil?

next week more than likely. I have about 4300 miles on syntec right now. it has seen a LOT of idle warm up times and running in parking lots and such because of holiday shopping, etc. my OLM is still at 50%, go figure. Has not burned a drop, either. absolutely nothing. hopefully no consumption issues going to the edge.

Wanted something more long-drain worthy and i liked what i've read about edge. I'm going to try around 7k miles and do a UOA to see whats up.

i have no way of explaining this, but to me it seems as if the edge continously does some conditioning, the longer you run it, the better the effect becomes

Excellent combo. I think you will be very pleased, as most of us are that have gave Edge a go. Great oil and a great filter. The 0w20 is not necessarily thinner than 5w20 except at 32 degrees. Which is actually a good thing to be thinner at that temp. As the oil heats up to operating temp, it will be a regular 20 weight oil. I think you've done well all around on your choices.
