Ever more reason to use quality stuff the first time.My Patrol car (Crown Vic) was replaced with some cheapies on Rock Auto. Didn't last a month.

Woohoo for you. I want to throw something at you.It looks weird seeing so much rust. Nothing whatsoever rusts here.
I'll quickly dodge itWoohoo for you. I want to throw something at you.
the cv joint goes through the bearing and squeezes it in place, no?Trying to imagine how it would make any difference. The hub is pressed into the bearing and the outer CV joint is bolted into the hub so the play would be the same, no?
Why? BCA made in China for $16 more a pair, and SKF at $24 more a pair isn't marked so I assume China. Why not Timken made in Canada?BCA or SKF for new bearings via Rockauto. I just looked up the options.
Try it after tightening to spec. I did a VW last week they want it torqued to 200 nm to insure the hub is seated properly then back it off and re tighten to 50 nm and 60 degrees.justr received my new rear wheel bearing, including the hub. the bearing races can move when the spindle nut is not installed. got to work now but will try to show later. It's very similar in design to the versa front bearing
