Is the Monroe Quick Strut the same as Sensa Trac?

It appears to be. Why they would not call it that if it is I do not know. Pretty cool being able to replace the entire strut assembly including the spring for under $130

I sell these by the boatload. The original quick strut uses the Sensa trac cartridge and is an excellent if a little expensive product. For those who don't want to mess with the dis-assembly of the strut and reuse the old spring and mount, a great choice. So many times, the top mount is bad and or the spring is bad.

We just recently started to carry the economy variant. I've sold a couple of sets. Be aware that the Quick Strut is offered with a lifetime warranty and the economy just 1 year.

edit, I don't believe that the economy use the sensa trac cartridge.

Quick struts are equipped with sensa-trac struts for American cars, but Monroe is replacing the sensa-trac line with "OESpectrum" for Asian and European cars, so I don't know which one ends up on Asain or European cars. Also, Monroe uses both Sensa-Trac and Reflex names on Trucks and SUVs, I don't know which ones ends up in truck or SUV quick struts.

The economy variant of the quick strut is called the "Monroe Econo-matic." I don't recommend them, I have never seen a Monroe economy shock or strut last more than 30,000 miles.

I have never liked the monroe economy line, and I swapped in my first set of monroes, oh, 24 years ago.

I think the sensa trak is a decent strut/shock, though find the valving better in kyb... seems more dynamic.

For the minivan and the jeep, I have *really* liked the reflex.

PartsPro-- what's the diff between the sensatrak and the reflex? do they use different *kinds* of valving, or just different rates?
