I just picked up 6 quarts of mobil 1 ep from wal-mart they had it on sale. Im going to be running it in a 2012 jeep wrangler with the 3.6 jeep has a hair over 500 miles on it and i was going to dump the factory fill tomorrow and put this in. Does anyone run this oil? Any comments on it?

+1 Probably a better recommendation for now.

Complete nonsense! Porsche/Mercedes/Cadillac uses Mobil-1 as the factory fill right off of the assembly line! Its a new motor & does not need no mineral oil flush!

Good oil yes. Do you plan more short runs? If so I would use conventional until your ready to go longer oci's.

vinsonclarkjeep,

Mobil 1 EP is fantasticly good to use for your engine. Since you have a 2012 model I wouldn't do anything to void the warranty bychanging the oil too soon.

How is he going to void warranty by changing to soon?

Thanks for the replys guys i changed it today and its a good thing i did i found some small pin head like shavings in the oil filter but they were very small. So im very happy i listened to some of you guys and dumped the factory fill early. I will prolly do another change around 3000 miles after that i should be good for once a year changes. Oh and btw this has been the easiest oil change ive ever done really simple to change the filter ( went with a wix ) im actually looking forward to my next change because its so easy to do.
